Elvis Costello & The Imposters Announce Spring Leg of "The Boy Named If & Other Favourites" Tour

U.S. East Coast Shows Follow Ten Sold-Out Nights at NYC’s Gramercy Theatre

The day after he completes a ten-night run at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre, Elvis Costello will reunite with his band The Imposters to bring "The Boy Named If & Other Favourites" show on the road for the last time in the U.S.A. with 11 concerts up and down the East Coast.

For his Gramercy shows -- “100 Songs and More” — Costello will perform a completely different set each night, the first five nights solo and the following nights with his longtime pianist Steve Nieve, ultimately playing more than 200 different songs picked from his vast 600+ song catalog and other favorites.

The Imposters - Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher - will once again be joined on the road by guitarist Charlie Sexton. As he recalls in The Boy Named If (Alive at Memphis Magnetic) liner notes, Costello first recruited Sexton in Summer 2021 to temporarily deputize for Steve Nieve, when his “Letters Of Transit” from France failed to materialize. The band liked the results so much that they agreed to proceed as a quintet when Nieve rejoined them. One early review of the new lineup in the OC Register wrote that "over the course of 26 songs and nearly two-and-a-half hours, Elvis Costello and the Imposters delivered a terrific night that time-traveled across Costello’s songbook, past, present, and future.”

Tickets go on sale Friday November 18th at 10:00am Eastern. Go to elviscostello.com. See full tour dates below.

The Boy Named If was released by EMI in the U.K. (and The Rest Of The World) and Capitol Records in the U.S and Canada, on January 14th to rave reviews from the New York Times to PitchforkThe Sunday Times in London made the album "The Record Of The Week", declaring the record, "Worthy Of Bowie.” It was followed in June by The Resurrection of Rust, Costello’s reunion with teenage bandmate Allan Mayes that saw their band, Rusty, play The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, 50 years after last singing together in the Liverpool clubs.
