It’s been a busy year for Erick, following the release of the Future Proof EP, and singles including “Self Made.”  He made his COLORS debut and detailed what he does with his time when he’s not creating music in this episode of The Fader’s Hanging Out With series.  He produced on Joey Bada$$’ recent album 2000 and produced on James Blake’s Grammy nominated EP Before.  He was awarded his first Gold record, for Flatbush Zombies’ “Bounce” from 2016’s 3001: A Laced Odyssey and featured on tracks including “Overseas” by Powers Pleasant with Maxo Kream, Bas and Kenny Mason as well as on Col3trane’s debut album.  He also made an appearance on Therapy Gecko.

Erick’s Future Proof EP features Col3trane, Pip Millett, Loyle Carner, Linden Jay, Sophie Faith and FARR and was covered by Complex, XXL, Consequence, SPIN, Hypebeast, NPR Music, High Snobiety, The Fader and beyond.

In addition to his select November solo run, he has upcoming performances with Flatbush Zombies at The Novo in Los Angeles on October 27 and at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 28.

Says Erick: “In 2021 I sat with a bunch of my thoughts as we all did during the height of the pandemic—although it was really difficult to write about anything other than what we were all reading on the news, I decided to take that time to craft a project with some friends that would live beyond the confines of the lockdown.  & over a year later, I’m still getting requests to perform this project from you guys, and that’s really special for real. Y’all keep streaming and supporting so I said damn I really gotta get out there on the road!  So while I’m finishing my album, I’m gonna go on a lil run with my brother @AKTHESAVIOR performing my EP and some new shit too. This is the perfect moment to connect w you all before my debut album touches down.”

Erick the Architect is a celebrated artist and a sought-after collaborator, having worked with over 50 different artists including A$AP Rocky, Tech N9ne, Portugal.
