October 28, 2022 - Erick the Architect - one-third of Flatbush Zombies and the Brooklyn rap group’s primary producer - has released his first single of 2022 with “No Ice,” featuring AKTHESAVIOR.

No Ice” has dropped just days before a set of Erick’s first-ever run of headlining shows - starting November 4 in Oakland, CA. The shows include Nov 6 in Los Angeles at The Echo, Nov 14 in Toronto at Velvet Underground, and Nov 16 at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn. AK will be the featured guest on each tour stop and surprise guests will drop by too. Erick is also performing with Flatbush Zombies tomorrow at Red Rocks, and performed “No Ice” with AK during the Zombies show last night in Los Angeles at The NOVO Theater.
“No Ice” was produced by Linden Jay and arrives with a visualizer featuring animated artwork by Stephen Palladino (@goodandshiddy), who has partnered with Lil Nas X, Lady Gaga and Reebok. Erick and AKTHESAVIOR are longtime friends from Flatbush, Brooklyn, and have collaborated as members of Flatbush Zombies and The Underachievers.
Since the release of the Future Proof EP in 2021, and singles including “Skinny Ramen” “Self Made,” Erick made his COLORS debut and detailed what he does with his time when he’s not creating music in this episode of The Fader’s Hanging Out With series. He produced on Joey Bada$$’ recent album 2000 and produced on James Blake’s Grammy-nominated EP Before. He was awarded his first Gold record, for Flatbush Zombies’ “Bounce” from 2016’s 3001: A Laced Odyssey and featured on tracks including “Overseas” by Powers Pleasant with Maxo Kream, Bas and Kenny Mason as well as on Col3trane’s debut album. He also made an appearance on Therapy Gecko.
Erick’s Future Proof EP features Col3trane, Pip Millett, Loyle Carner, Linden Jay, Sophie Faith and FARR and was covered by Complex, XXL, Consequence, SPIN, Hypebeast, NPR Music, High Snobiety, The Fader and beyond.
Erick is working on his first official solo album, slated for release in 2023.
