Fancy Hagood Is Reawakened On New Song “Bored”
LISTEN HERE
Today, queer pop-country enigma (the artist formerly known as Who Is Fancy) Fancy Hagood released his new track “Bored,” a song for the disillusioned that tackles the topic of perception vs reality in today’s society. Co-written with and produced by Alysa Vanderheym (Lady A, Florida Georgia Line, One Republic, Blake Shelton), “Bored” serves as a commentary on the glamorized way we view the world and the image we create for ourselves, and how we often hide the struggles and truth beneath. Inspired in part by Fancy’s own demons (he started writing the song when he entered therapy and began dismantling the vices that dictated his decisions such as self-medication, alcohol and men), “Bored” is a cautionary tale to remain honest with yourself.
He stated about the track “I’m pumped to be putting out songs that I think will be a little bit surprising to my listeners... I’m making a bit of a return to a pop sound that I strayed away from with my debut album.”

Earlier this year, Fancy Hagood added radio host to his resume as he launched his new Apple Music Country Radio show Trailblazers Radio with Fancy Hagood. People Mag broke the news to which he stated that he wants to use this platform to spotlight risk-takers (like himself) who have helped break down barriers in the genre including Kacey Musgraves, The War and Treaty, Lil Nas X and many more. He most recently chatted with Orville Peck. Check out the interview HERE.
