Fancy Hagood’s Triumphant Return To Late-Night
Performs “Bored” On Full Frontal with Samantha Bee
Just over seven years ago, Fancy Hagood (the artist formerly known as Who Is Fancy) unveiled his identity on late night television, and last night he marked his return with a transformative appearance on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee performing his poignant latest release “Bored”. WATCH HERE.
“Bored” serves as a commentary on the glamorized way we view the world and the image we create for ourselves, and how we often hide the struggles and truth beneath. Last night’s performance is a reinventing moment for the now independent artist who recently wrapped a run of tour dates with Elle King, and launched his own show Trailblazers Radio on Apple Music (recent guests include Kacey Musgraves, Orville Peck & Noah Cyrus).
A trippy animated video for “Bored” also dropped recently, aesthetically akin to some of the biggest shows of the late 1990s/early 2000s (think Daria to Beavis and Butthead) and featuring a young Fancy in his bedroom processing the world around him and nodding to the pop-culture staples that defined his upbringing.

Fancy Hagood is a singer/songwriter making Queer Southern Pop out of Nashville, TN. He released his monster hit “Goodbye” and his iconic collab with Ariana Grande & Meghan Trainor “Boys Like You” earlier in his career. His debut independent album, Southern Curiosity, was released in April 2021. Produced by Jon Green and Tofer Brown, this deeply personal record was featured through Apple Music's Coming Soon booster and their Song Series program, highlighting songwriters. Southern Curiosity has over 14M listens on the platform. Fancy has also had cuts by Little Big Town, Christina Aguilera, Anderson East, Rascal Flatts and many others.
