Fifth Annual JABFest Returns To Lubbock Sept. 19

Josh Abbott Band Headlining, Aaron Watson And Kevin Fowler Performing

JABFest, the annual music festival founded by "the top tier TX country act of this decade (Houston Press)" Josh Abbott Band, returns for the 5th year of "phenomenal performances and raucous cheers and applause (Lubbock Avalanche-Journal)" to Lubbock's Lonestar Amphitheater on Saturday, Sept. 19.

The festival features a headlining set by Josh Abbott Band and performances by native Texan artists. Aaron Watson, the vocal force behind Billboard #1 Country Album 'The Underdog', will share the stage with Kevin Fowler, whose single "Before Somebody Gets Hurt (feat. Amy Rankin of The Rankin Twins)" hit #1 on the Texas Music Chart. Rising artists Flatland Cavalry and Hunter Hutchinson will also perform.

JABFest is the culmination of a longstanding goal for the eponymous frontman. "I had a dream that, if we ever got popular enough," said Abbott, "we'd come back to West Texas and put on a yearly festival of Americana and West Texas music." Now in its fifth year, the festival is continuing to grow, with 7,500 attendees packing Lonestar Amphitheater in 2014 and 5,000 in 2013.

Currently the band are in the middle of their Where's the Party? tour, their biggest tour to date which includes 35 headlining shows and sees the band in 24 new markets. Tickets for JABFest are on sale now and can be purchased at jabfest.com
