FIONN Debut Reflective Video For "Magazine Face" via Northern Transmissions

Video is a first look at the twin duo's forthcoming debut

FIONN, 20-year-old identical twin sisters, have shared their video for "Magazine Face," a taste of their forthcoming debut album, via Northern Transmissions."Magazine Face" delivers both social commentary and personal evaluations, all while showcasing the duo's "telepathically tight vocal harmonies that only siblings could deliver" (Spill Magazine).

The video serves as a reflection, as the identical twins look at one another through the frame of a mirror and contemplate the strange reality of being a young woman in the music industry. "I've never looked better but I've never felt worse," the twins sing together.

"During the making of our video for "Magazine Face" we immediately became more in touch with the song. The video visually sums up the feelings we had when writing the lyrics, and tells a story that has been repeating in reality for generations," the sisters say. "As young women, we are tired of being objectified, and are sick of the media influencing us to believe that our self-worth should be tied in with our appearances. We hope that viewers will think twice about how much having a magazine face really matters."

Hailing from White Rock, British Columbia, twins Alanna and Brianne Finn-Morris have been creating music together since they were toddlers, cutting their teeth as buskers at Vancouver's Granville Island at age 12, playing covers for passersby. Citing Canadian icons Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell to current hitmakers like Lorde and Hozier as influences, by the time they were 14 the Finn-Morris twins were playing 100+ shows a year, rapidly growing their Canadian fan base and fine-tuning their unique, poignantly personal voice and style that takes on modern social issues.

Working on a new batch of original songs and spending much of the first half of 2018 prepping their debut, FIONN have had a busy year. The duo recently wrapped a tour with singer-songwriter Royal Wood and performed a "First Play" session for Canadian public radio CBC, set for release later this year. FIONN is an artist to keep on your radar.

Stay tuned for more news.
