flipturn’s 2025 sophomore album ‘Burnout Days’ was nothing short of a breakout moment for the Florida five-piece: making their television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, earning praise from NPR Music and Rolling Stone, selling out their biggest shows ever on three continents and playing “standing ovation worthy” (Consequence) festival sets at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands and Newport Folk. Next month, they’ll revisit the album that made it all happen - with a little help from their friends - when they release ‘Burnout Days (Reimagined)’ on March 13 via Dualtone Records. The new project finds each of the twelve songs on ‘Burnout Days’ reinterpreted by an artist from their beloved musical community: tourmates from across the world, bands from their home-state Florida scene, and even members of flipturn themselves. The results offer renewed perspective and depth to an album that “continues their ascent as one of the most innovative bands out now” (Ones To Watch).

“In an industry that’s really hard to find other people to relate to in your hometowns, you make lifelong friends with the people you meet on the road. We are so lucky and humbled to have had some of those friends help us make a reimagined version of our album ‘Burnout Days.’ We let each artist have complete creative freedom with each song and we were continuously blown away with what they would send us. These are some of the most incredible and talented people in the world and we can’t wait for you to hear what they made!! It is hands down the coolest flipturn project to date,” says flipturn lead singer Dillon Basse.

“The first time I heard flipturn’s song ‘Reason To Pretend,’ it quickly became a favorite off of their album Burnout Days,” says Teal Peel’s Taylor Neal. “It had such a cool groove and melody, and I really resonated with the lyrics. After touring with them as Production Manager / FOH engineer, I always got so excited to see that one on the set list. It wasn’t always a part of the set, but whenever it was, I couldn’t mix it standing still. Madeline has such a cool vocal tone, and I love how both of our voices blended together.”

Throughout the second half of last year, flipturn shared reimagined offerings from Australia’s Old Mervs, England’s Eleni Drake and Nashville’s mercury. Also contributing to the full album will be Odie Leigh, Winyah, Jack Van Cleaf, Rohna, lighthearted, The Brazen Youth, Susto and Druzin (AKA flipturn multi-instrumentalist Mitch Fountain’s electronic music project). On the same weekend ‘Burnout Days (Reimagined)’ is released, flipturn will play their first festival of the spring at Coca-Cola Sips & Sounds in Austin, TX. They’ll follow it up with a return to Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival (where they first performed as contest winners in 2018), Treefort, BeachLife, Kilby Block Party, BottleRock, Governors Ball and Bonnaroo.

flipturn have also announced headlining shows at Red Rocks on May 21 - a 9,500+ capacity venue, which they’ve already sold out months in advance - and 5,000-capacity MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston. A full list of announced dates is below.
