Gladys Knight comes to Queens + 11.09

Seven-time Grammy Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Gladys Knight is headed to Queens next week for a soulful night of music on Thursday, November 9 at 8pm at the Colden Auditorium of the Kupferberg Center for the Arts.

 

Best known for hits "Midnight Train to Georgia" and "Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me," she started her career in the 60's with Gladys Knight and the Pips. Knight received BET's “Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2004, to honor her 40+ year career.

 

Most recently, the "Empress of Soul" was featured on Oprah’s ‘Master Class,’ speaking about her early experiences in the music industry.

 

Kupferberg Center for the Arts celebrates 10 years of dedication to bringing music, art and culture to the borough's 2.3 million residents. Past performances include Jerry Seinfeld, David Bowie, Piano Guys, Patti LaBelle, Johnny Mathis, Victor Manuelle, Cesar Millan, El Gran Combo, and many more.
