“Electrifying brass for a sound that thoroughly uplifts”

– AV Club

“Equipped for both jazz lovers and hip-hop fanatics….sound that’s driven by soulful brass but grounded to a funk beat”

— V Magazine

“Vocalists fit Rayne’s groove like a glove... Jackson’s horns, alternatively sputtering and blaring, grab your attention”

— Consequence of Sound

“Undulates and swirls with features ...the stew of voices comes together to make an audio haven. A true musician’s mélange”

— DJ Booth

Today, GRAMMY® Award-winning duo Brasstracks (multi-instrumentalist Ivan Jackson and percussionist Conor Rayne) release their highly anticipated debut album, Golden Ticket, via EQT Recordings and Capitol Records. They’ve worked with Harry Styles, Chance The Rapper, Mark Ronson and more - now it’s their time in the spotlight. And in a musical landscape ruled by great pop acts & club heaters, Brasstracks come seemingly as the last pair of band geeks that to sign up for the big leagues — with a major label contract and the space to make the album they’ve always wanted, Jackson and Rayne have found their Golden Ticket.

“For our label debut, we wanted to highlight the “golden ticket” dream of being signed,” Jackson and Rayne say about the album. “It’s an ironic symbol, because the truth is nothing happens overnight. Especially not for a trumpet player and a drummer that don’t fit into any typical music industry mold. The only way we could grapple with that was by making the music that was most authentic to us, at the highest level possible, and delivering it to you.”

The album comes directly after the tragic passing of Quinn Coleman, Senior Director of A&R at Capitol Records who signed Brasstracks.

“Eight months worth of hard work from not just us, but our entire team, our brasstracks family," Jackson and Rayne continue“We lost a member of that family this week. This album is for you, Quinn. Thank you for believing in us.”

Golden Ticket reinforces the duo’s free-thinking approach to songcraft with an unprecedented charm. An eclectic mix of collaborators are featured on almost every track – including modern rap and R&B titans such as Common, Masego, GRAMMY® Award nominated Tank of Tank & The Bangas, Robert Glasper and more.

They’re also Mark Ronson’s go-to musicians; Jackson and Rayne accompanied Ronson during his “SNL” performance with Miley Cyrus, and Jackson performed on the show alongside Harry Styles last year.
