Grizzly Bear Releases New Video For "Mourning Sound" From 'Painted Ruins' Out This Week (8/18) via RCA

Grizzly Bear has released a new video for their song "Mourning Sound," the lead single from their forthcoming album 'Painted Ruins,' out this Friday, 8/18 via RCA Records. Directed by Beatrice Pegard and filmed in Paris, the video features Clemence Poesy (Harry Potter, In Bruges, 127 Hours) and is a playful, pastel-drenched commentary on women's liberation. The band will perform "Mourning Sound" on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert this Thursday, 8/17, their late night debut for the new record. The song is currently in the top 15 at AAA radio.

'Painted Ruins' has earned widespread early praise from the New York Times, NPR Music and SPIN, who declared, "Grizzly Bear strike gold."
