Despite White declaring that "everyone knows rock and roll is cold" in the first verse, "Rock & Roll Is Cold" is actually the opposite, an effortlessly cool celebration of a song with a highly addictive piano melody and a slinky R&B groove. Sounding brighter and bolder than 'Big Inner' with some serious pop chops in tow, it's unmistakably a Matthew E. White track - full of character and confidence as well as those pristine horn arrangements we've come to love.

On March 3, White will play a special album release show at Brooklyn's BRIC Arts Center titled Southern Lights Tonight, where he'll premiere 'Fresh Blood' with the Spacebomb house band comprised of a 30-piece orchestra. Tickets and more info available here.
'Fresh Blood' will be available on CD, vinyl, and via digital download. There is also a special edition of the album, which is a double LP gatefold heavyweight vinyl containing a bonus LP titled 'Fresh Blood: No Skin' - a full length minimalist mix of the entire album, minus strings/horns or choir.
