Qobuz has teamed up with legendary Detroit funk and soul label Westbound Records for a one-month Hi-Res streaming exclusive release of "The 45 King Westbound Beats." The only other place the album is available is for sale on Bandcamp.

For the collection, renowned 80s Hip-Hop producer Mark "The 45 King" James reworked and remixed old Westbound master tapes from the vaults, turning them into funky new beats.

"The 45 King Westbound Beats" follows other Qobuz exclusives recorded and released to superserve the hardcore music fans who listen to the genres the mainstream streamers tend to ignore. Previous exclusives on Qobuz include Christian McBride's hi-res EP "The Q Sessions," Captain Beefheart's "Trout Mask Replica" in Hi-Res for the first time, Tower of Power's "50 Years of Funk & Soul: Live at the Fox Theater," several Frank Zappa albums (through a Zappa Records partnership), and many more.
