Hippo Campus Streams Bold New 'South' EP Via A.V. Club, Out 10/02 On Grand Jury Music

In the 10 months since Minneapolis' Hippo Campus - whose oldest member is just 21 - released its debut EP 'Bashful Creatures' the band has earned Best Newcomer nods from Rolling Stone and EW, made their TV debut on Conan, toured with My Morning Jacket, and Modest Mouse, played Lolla and Made in America, and seen their single "Suicide Saturday" spun heavily on Sirius' Alt-18 chart. Their follow-up EP 'South' (due out Oct 2 via Grand Jury Music) is bolder, more confident, nuanced - and it's streaming now via the AV Club Here.

Both EPs will get a physical release - collected as 'The Halocline EPs' - on CD and vinyl October 9 via Grand Jury.

The band is currently on the road with JR JR (formerly Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.). To celebrate, JR JR remixed "Suicide Saturday."
