September 16, 2026: Last night at Chelsea venue Racket NYC, Talkhouse and How Long Gone presented the inaugural Goneies Awards. Hosted by Chris Black and Jason Stewart – founders of the cult-famous, thrice-weekly, bi-coastal podcast How Long Gone– the star-studded evening brought their sharp, irreverent takes on music, culture and media to life for a sold-out audience of artists, fans, friends, literati and media elite. Live performances featured musicians Blondshell, Nirosta Steel, Kevin Morby and Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis, all backed by an ace house band led by producer Brad Cook (Waxahatchee, MJ Lenderman), while surprise celebrity guests like Mary Beth Barone, Mark Ronson and Nicky Campbell, John Early, Alison Roman and Andy Baraghaniall accepted the first-ever Goneies trophies. 

Other special appearances included a video message from Charli xcx on behalf of her win for Album of The Year, Delaney Rowe's assistant accepting Rowe's award for Best Internet Personality, It Girl of The Year presented by The Kid Mero, Gaybaiter of The Year presented by Naomi Fry and an In Memoriam segment of things and trends we lost this year. Rolled out by Threads, the night's official social media and arrival correspondent partner, the Green and Blue Carpet also welcomed honorees and attendees like Ben Lippett, Brooks Reitz, Connor Hayes, Ellie Williams, Gio Luciano, Jacqueline Novak, Joey Dardano, Kazeem Famuyide, Luke Fracher, Middlebrow's Dan Rosen and Brian Park, Noah Johnson, Samuel Hine and more who were interviewed by Gabby Bryan and Naz Perez.
