Immersive Media Pioneer Justin Bolognino Returns As Experience Director Of Hulaween’s Spirit Lake 2025

Festival’s Iconic Immersive Art Experience Embraces the Interplay of Light and Shadow with New Theme: “The Radiant Veil”

Wednesday, May 14, 2025 — Justin Bolognino, the renowned immersive media pioneer and Experience Director of Hulaween’s Spirit Lakethe festival’s acclaimed multi-sensory art and performance experience, returns for his third year and unveils 2025’s theme: “The Radiant Veil: The Dance of Light and Shadow.”

Taking place October 30 through November 2, 2025, at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida, Spirit Lake offers festival-goers the opportunity to step into a fully realized artistic environment unlike any other.

In 2025, the grounds will transform into a living canvas where light and shadow intertwine, guiding festival-goers through a surreal landscape where the seen and unseen entangle.

Standalone interactive light and shadow installations will evolve from tranquil, sculptural daytime works into fully augmented, illuminated environments at night. Visitors can expect audio-reactive installations that pulse with the music from the Spirit Lake stage and participatory art spaces dissolving the traditional boundary between artist and audience.

A new entry, AV Light Experience, will transition from a static display to a volumetric, audio-reactive light and shadow spectacle that responds to the rhythms of the Spirit Lake stage and becomes a beacon when the stage rests.

The iconic lakeside audiovisual show will return in what promises to be its biggest and best form yet, featuring newly commissioned works that blend projection art, environmental design, and dynamic storytelling. This year’s experience will immerse audiences in a flowing narrative of light and shadow across the water.

“Going into our third year with Spirit Lake, we’re looking to push the experience even further into new, uncharted territory,” Bolognino said“We’re most thrilled to tease this infinite dance of shadow and light into existence!”

Artists are invited to submit proposals for Spirit Lake’s 2025 installations from May 14 to June 31 HERE.

As the founder and CEO of an immersive experience company, META, Bolognino continues to redefine what is possible in experiential festival art, pushing the boundaries of storytelling, technology, and community engagement while shaping Spirit Lake into one of North America’s leading immersive art environments.

This year’s Suwannee Hulaween lineup features performances from ILLENIUM, Goose, Zeds Dead, Anderson .Paak’s DJ Pee .Wee, The String Cheese Incident, The Disco Biscuits, Parcels, and many more.
