Intelligence Squared U.S. Debates Announces 100th Debate And Complete Spring Season

Award-winning debate series Intelligence Squared U.S. (IQ2US) has announced it will celebrate its 100th debate this February. Addressing topics in politics, economics, culture, education, health, and more, the series has been called "pointed political debate minus all the shouting" by the New York Times. Intelligence Squared U.S. reaches millions with everyone from Paul Krugman to Laura Ingraham arguing in Oxford-style debates and encouraging the public to "think twice" on a wide range of provocative issues.

Since its founding in 2006, IQ2US has grown to an audience of millions on radio, television, live streaming, podcasts and interactive digital content. Earlier this year the series won the Clarion Award for Radio Regular Feature Program, and won Best Public Affairs Program awards from New York Festivals International in 2013 and 2014. Consistently ranked in the iTunes Top 25, the podcast has been named a must-listen by Forbes and the Chicago Tribune. In recent years, the New York-based organization has also held debates in Philadelphia, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, Aspen, and Southern California.

The motion for the 100th debate is "Declinists be damned: Bet on America," and it comes as part of a full spring season that sees IQ2US tackling the death penalty, Amazon, smart technology, and more, with debates in New York and Philadelphia - the latter as part of a continuing series of Constitutional debates. See lineup of motions below, and go here for more info on individual debates: http://intelligencesquaredus.org/
