Intelligence Squared U.S. Debates "The President Has Constitutional Power To Target And Kill U.S. Citizens Abroad" at National Constitution Center, Philadelphia, March 5th

Does the president have constitutional authority under the due process clause to kill U.S. citizens abroad? Or is it a violation of that clause to decide to target and kill Americans? Intelligence Squared U.S. audiences will decide whether President Obama has tested the limits of the executive branch’s powers with the drone strike on accused terrorist and New Mexico-born Anwar al-Awlaki in Yemen when a panel of esteemed experts discuss “The President Has Constitutional Power To Target And Kill U.S. Citizens Abroad” at Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center.

On March 5th, Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz will argue for the motion with Ohio Northern University Professor Michael Lewis. Harvard Law Professor Noah Feldman with ACLU National Security Project Director Hina Shamsi will argue against the motion.
