Jacob Collier's Djesse - Volume 2 Out Now And Features Jojo, Dodie, Lianne La Havas, Oumou Sangaré, Chris Thile, Sam Amidon, Steve Vai, Kathryn Tickell, Becca Stevens, And Maro

Jacob Collier’s Djesse – Volume 2 is out now (via Hajanga Records in exclusive license to Decca/Geffen) and marks the midpoint of this epic project, 40-plus songs spanning 4 volumes that each create distinct musical worlds. Volume 2 finds Jacob exploring intimate, acoustic spaces with his singular sound.

This morning, Jacob’s NPR Tiny Desk performance premiered, featuring three new songs from Volume 2 that he recently taped in Washington, D.C. He performed “Feel,” “Make Me Cry,” and “It Don’t Matter,” a brand new song that he wrote deliberately to perform at the Tiny Desk (and wound up recording, featuring JoJo, for Volume 2)

Jacob crafted much of Volume 2 from his home studio in London, performing, producing, engineering, and composing nearly everything himself while simultaneously welcoming a huge new network of collaborators into his world. 

The project features a plethora of great musicians, including JoJo, Lianne La Havas, Oumou Sangaré, Chris Thile, Sam Amidon, Steve Vai, Kathryn Tickell, Becca Stevens, and MARO.
