Award-winning Violinist Jeremy Kittel Announces Record Release + Tour Schedule Change Due to Accident
Kittel & Co.'s debut record 'Whorls' to release June 29 via Compass Records
Violin virtuoso Jeremy Kittel (formerly of the GRAMMY award-winning Turtle Island Quartet) and frontman of the contemporary string collective Kittel & Co. has announced a halt in Spring tour and album plans due to an accident involving his left arm.
"Sometimes, plans change quickly," Kittel shared on social media."Thankfully, I'll be ok! Going to see a great doctor for a follow-up this morning... Looking forward to finally getting my one-handed typing/everything chops together."
'Whorls' will now make its debut on Fri. June 29 via Compass Records, and due to the unforeseen changes, Jeremy -- and Kittel & Co. -- are rescheduling April and May tour dates, which included the Savannah Music Festival as well as performances with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and the Greater Bridgeport Symphony. Touring will resume on June 22 at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, CA; with additional stops slated for New York, Boston, Nashville, Huntington Summer Arts Festival, Caroga Lake Music Festival, New Bedford Folk Festival, and Michigan's Blissfest.
