Originally released in 1982, the ground-breaking album captivated fans with its distinctive blend of rock, folk, and progressive influences. The album's masterful storytelling, accompanied byIan Anderson's unmistakable flute melodies, garnered critical acclaim and has become a fan favorite over the years.

The 40th Anniversary packaging includes new mixes from Steven Wilson, demos, rough mixes, live recordings, and sessions from 1981, with a 5-CD and 3-DVD set forming the Monster Edition and a 3LP set as the Vinyl Edition, and available digitally.
