Jocelyn & Chris Put Spicy Spin on Latest Radio Hit with “Sugar and Spice (Extra Spice Remix)”

Today (8.12), alternative-blues rockers Jocelyn & Chris -- known for their “millennial spin on classic rock” (TODAY) -- debut their “Sugar and Spice (Extra Spice Remix)” with Sound Vapors, who says the remix "takes the track to a new level of movement". Remaining solidly anchored by Jocelyn’s powerhouse vocals, the reimagined track highlights the single’s funk-rock influences, with dynamic new guitar from Chris completing the track. “Sugar and Spice (Extra Spice Remix)” will be available exclusively on Spotify tomorrow, Friday, August 13th. The driving dance remix is the perfect complement to the original single -- “Sugar and Spice” -- which American Songwriter called “pure American rock-goodness.” The rocking, retro-funk anthem is in its third consecutive week as a “most added” single in commercial AAA radio, with regular airplay in major markets including LA, Boston, Nashville, and Portland.

The Extra Spice Remix is the latest from the Harvard-bred rock duo, who have recently revealed multiple creative brand partnerships in celebration of “Sugar and Spice.” Most recently, they announced their partnership with Attitude Coffee to release their exclusive “Sugar and Spice” Espresso Blend, a dark, rich 5-bean coffee experience with notes of cocoa, hazelnut, and blueberry. Additionally, they’ve partnered with Rocky Top TN’s Coal Creek Smokehouse for the Sugar and Spice Rock and Roll BBQ Sauceand teamed up with boutique craft brewery Peacemaker Brewing in Canandaigua, NY, to brew Sugar and Spice Passion Fruit Milkshake IPA. Jocelyn & Chris have been compared to some of rock’s greatest icons, with a “sound that recalls classics of the rock genre like Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin, and Jimmy Page” (mxdwn). The New York-based siblings, both Harvard grads, are fierce rockers who’ve balanced school while touring nationally and charting three consecutive commercial radio singles in the Billboard AAA Top 40 and two #1 records on the Relix Jambands Top 30 Album Chart.
