Keiynan Lonsdale Continues To Push Pop Music Boundaries With New Single “Gay Street Fighter”Single Is The Latest From His Debut LP, Listen Via Gay Times
“Keiynan Lonsdale gives us hope for what pop music can do” - GQ
Make no mistake, Keiynan Lonsdale is already a force beyond the screen. With his latest single “Gay Street Fighter” (out today), this multi-hyphenate talent explosively emerges into the pop scene. The track is Lonsdale’s dance-pop battle cry, vibrantly capturing his own experience growing up in a society with little to no LGBTQ+ heroes.
Listen via Gay Times, HERE.
Lonsdale is no stranger to the music scene. In 2019 (after releasing a string of solo streaming smashes), Lonsdale released “Rainbow Dragon,” which Billboard called “a fiery hip hop track where the singer flexes his rap skills to let his detractors know who's in charge.” The official video showed “a very different side of the artist than he had previously offered up: he dances, he raps, he’s in drag and he’s not, he serves braggadocio and verve and rage as well as kindness and humour” (GQ).

As an award-winning Australian singer/songwriter, actor and dancer, Lonsdale has always been at the forefront of queer Hollywood. He’s starred in Love, Simon (for which he won an MTV Movie Award), The Divergent Series, CW’s The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends Of Tomorrow (one of the first openly queer actors to play a superhero), judged on RuPaul’s Drag Race and more, including the Alicia Keys-produced dance comedy, Work It.
Lonsdale has won GQ Australia’s “Actor of the Year” and an LGBT Centre Youth Advocacy Award. In 2019, he made his Paris Fashion Week runway debut with Louis Vuitton. He walked the 2019 MET Gala pink carpet in a custom gown covered in over a thousand handmade, embroidered butterflies, created by Indian designer Manish Arora (Katy Perry, Rihanna, Kate Moss).
Stay tuned for more from Keiynan Lonsdale, who's set to have a tremendous 2020
