Kyle Gordon Goes Indie Sleaze With “I’m a Whore”

Latest Satirical Track Features Actress / Adult Film Star Alice White

Music Video Out Now - Watch Here

Kyle Gordon may have gone to South Africa for his summer viral smash hit “Mr. Jambo”, but today he is getting down & dirty in the seediest club imaginable with his new song “I’m a Whore”. Written by Gordon and featuring vocals by actress and adult entertainment creator Alice White, the new track is an expertly accurate satirical take on indie sleaze brat pop that ruled the late ‘00s/early ‘10s. Listen HERE.

And no Kyle Gordon parody would be complete with a one-of-kind music video; also out today, the video for “I’m a Whore” is equally hypnotic and chaotic, unfurling like a feverish night out laced with a late 00s internet addiction. Watch HERE.

The track joins “Mr. Jambo” on Kyle Gordon’s forthcoming third album ‘Kyle Gordon Is Everywhere’, out October 2 via BMG. Kyle Gordon will hit the road in support of the album on a nationwide tour, kicking off September 24. Full dates below.

“This song might weirdly be the most personal on the album,” said Kyle Gordon. “I tried less to parody any particular artist, and rather tried to invent a ridiculous 2000s indie sleaze character that could have plausibly existed back in the day. I loved listening to this kind of music with my friends growing up, driving around late on a Friday night, smoking weed and getting really paranoid but in a fun way. While I did months of intensive, PHD level research for ‘Mr. Jambo’, I hardly had to do any research for this song because this is just the soundtrack to my senior year of high school.”

Kyle added, “Also I had so much fun working with Alice, the lead singer and star of the song and music video. She is so insanely talented and undeniably charismatic. It’s been so cool goofing off with her making this ridiculous song and becoming friends!”

“Kyle is that rare combination of completely professional and completely easygoing, the chillest collaborator you could ask for, somehow dialed in and totally relaxed at the same time,” said Alice White. “Making this was so fun and so silly that I cannot wait for everyone to bask in the supreme sleaze we're serving up. Getting to revisit an era that engaged so openly with sexuality, whose artists so often got exploited and had it used against them, and coming back to it from a place of empowerment, with a decade-plus of growth? Very cool thing to do, I'm honored to be part of this project.”

“I’m a whore,” she added.

Ahead of today’s release, Kyle Gordon went mega viral with “Mr. Jambo”, his spot-on loving parody of Paul Simon’s ‘Graceland’. Leading fans and media to call him “the Millennial Weird Al”, “Mr. Jambo” earned coverage with Variety, CNN, Vulture, and more. Watch Kyle discuss the massive success of “Mr. Jambo” with ABC.

Elsewhere on ‘Kyle Gordon is Everywhere’, the “unshakably committed” (Billboard) musician and comedian channels numerous personas and distills nearly a dozen genres, rebuilding them as eerily accurate parodies that are earnestly performed and hilariously irreverent. Everything from jingoistic Bush-era Butt Rock to Disney Channel-era tween bops to late 90s minivan rock gets a shakedown from Kyle Gordon on the new album.

The album (which features David Attenborough-esque academic interludes narrated by Daniel Radcliffe – a fan of Kyle’s who he met on the set of “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins”) is a nostalgic trip lined with comedic landmines that are as charming as they are gut-busting in their authenticity.

“This album represents the third in my initial trilogy of comedy albums,” says Kyle. “With ‘Kyle Gordon is Everywhere’, I feel like I’ve achieved my goal of creating a comprehensive, cohesive comedy album that is enjoyable as a whole piece, but also a collection of very fun, funny, and catchy pop songs. I also feel as though I’ve finally found that perfect balance: the songs are funny without sacrificing the songwriting. Essentially they’re a bunch of great pop songs that are also funny.”

“I feel like I finally perfected this formula that I’d been tinkering with on the first two albums.”

With over 6.5 million followers and 2.7 billion views across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook, Kyle Gordon has become modern day musical comedy royalty. Billboard named him one of their “Top 15 Musical Comedians Right Now” while Variety included him in their “New Power of New York” culture list. He has appeared on The Simpsons, charted on the Billboard charts with his hit “Planet of the Bass” and performed alongside the Jonas Brothers. His last album ‘Kyle Gordon is Wonderful’ earned him spotlights with Newsweek, Vulture and TODAY, and he recently made a recurring cameo on the aforementioned “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins” on NBC.
