Friday, September 6th, 2024 - The grand and magical Carnival of the Animals, performed by internationally renowned pianist Lang Lang and featuring special narration by Jimmy Fallon is available to pre-order on vinyl today and will be released on vinyl on October 18. In March, Deutsche Grammophon introduced the digital-only version of Carnival of the Animals, featuring pianist Gina Alice and readings by Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. In this vibrant and imaginative interpretation of Camille Saint-Saëns' beloved suite, listeners are drawn into the whimsical “Grand Zoological Fantasy” that has enchanted young listeners for generations.

This special vinyl release of a childhood classic reflects Lang Lang’s heartfelt wish to promote the love of classical music to young audiences. “Many of us remember Saint-Saëns’s famous Carnival of the Animals from childhood. There are a lot of clever ideas underneath all the fun. He’s making a real statement, but in a very humorous way,” says the pianist. “And of course it was wonderful to record it with my wife, Gina Alice.”
