Last Friday, Lauren Sanderson dropped her latest album ‘LAUREN’, and today, the queer rock badass is continuing the party by announcing her fall headlining tour. Coinciding with a performance at Austin City Limits and two dates with Limp Bizkit in Nashville, Lauren will bring her chaotically brilliant new album and live show to NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Philadelphia and many other major markets this fall. “If you don't leave the show feeling hotter, cooler, and more like yourself, I didn't do my job right. But you will. These aren't just shows - they're 80 minutes of permission to be exactly who the fuck you are at full volume,” said Lauren about the tour. “I want this concert to be like a punch in the face, in the best way possible. Loud, messy, and liberating. To anyone who's ever felt like an outsider, let this be your night to fit in amongst the other freaks of the world (myself included). We love you here” |

With the release of ‘LAUREN’, Sanderson opened a Pandora's box of playful savagery onto the world, cementing herself as one of music’s most unpredictable juggernauts-on-the-rise. The new album, released via Pack Records, is a maximalist cocktail of nü-metal ambiance, bratty pop flippancy, and killer lyrical wordplay, and it’s something truly only Lauren Sanderson could have constructed. "I knew exactly what I was doing on this album.. and I did it anyway,” said Lauren Sanderson. “This is that 'blow your speakers out, makeout with that girl in the bathroom, drive too fast down the highway' album. That’s LAUREN."
Today’s announcement follows the meteoric rise of Lauren’s undeniably kickass collaboration with none other than Fred Durst, on the remix of album cut “Come Say Sum”. In just over two weeks, the IDGAF bruiser has become an anthem of sorts for those sick of life’s bullshit, accruing nearly 3.5 million streams/video views across DSPs, and debuting at #13 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. Watch the insane music video HERE. The original “COME SAY SUM” was partially inspired by Limp Bizkit’s legendary Woodstock ‘99 performance (specifically “Break Stuff”) and what started as a friendly exchange on Instagram with Durst became a bulletproof collaboration that finds Lauren’s own ferocity matched in full force by the rebel-rousing nü-metal icon. Loud, intentional, and unbothered, the new album will immediately click with those who hold dear the late 90s/early 00s musical landscape, when artists like Missy Elliot, KoRn, P!nk, Lil Wayne and Limp Bizkit were twisting together genres with IDGAF bravado, while also boasting the fearless modern finesse of modern day generation-blurrers like Charli xcx, Ashnikko and Addison Rae. Ferociously sexy yet soft, smart yet unhinged, feminine and masculine, ‘LAUREN’ embraces its polar opposites to create a world where partying, chainsmoking, and stealing someone’s girlfriend go hand-in-hand with internet romance, gaslighting yourself into confidence, and those moments of sincere human connection amidst a chaotic night out.
