Lee Brice Takes Stage With Garth Brooks In Boston, Sells-Out First Two Dates Of Co-Bill Tour, Adds Tyler Farr, Maddie & Tae To Ryman Auditorium Lineup, Feb. 24
(New York) Jan. 27, 2015 - Lee Brice had a productive weekend as evidenced by back-to-back sold out tour dates with friend Chris Young on Thursday and Friday, and a rousing performance of “More Than A Memory” with Garth Brooks in Boston on Saturday night.
“Getting to sing that song with Garth - my first number one as a songwriter - was a "bucket list" moment for sure,” shares Brice. Brooks recorded “More Than A Memory” for his 2007 'The Ultimate Hits' album and made Billboard radio chart history when it debuted at #1, a record it still holds today.
The "stoic brute" (New York Times), whose current single "Drinking Class" is climbing country radio charts, also celebrated two sold out co-bill tour dates on Thursday and Friday with Chris Young. The Syracuse Post Standard said, “The pair fits well together … they brought a taste of summertime to a frozen winter night.”
Brice topped the weekend off by announcing that long-time friend Tyler Farr and breakout female duo, Maddie & Tae will share his headlining debut at the historic Ryman Auditorium, Feb. 24.
“The first time I sang on the stage of the Ryman was during my very first trip to Nashville with a buddy over spring break, 15 years ago,” shares Brice. “We took a daytime tour and the sweet lady leading our tour let me stand in the circle on that stage and sing. I remember she said, ‘You’re pretty good. Maybe I’ll see you on this stage again sometime.’” Her words couldn’t have been more prophetic.
Last year, Brice recorded the video to “I Don’t Dance” - a song written as a wedding gift to his wife, Sara - on that stage. The song would later be named one of 2014’s hottest wedding songs by famed wedding site, theknot.com Watch the video here.
