Lewis Del Mar Releases Two New Songs "Painting (Masterpiece)" and "14 Faces"
Duo makes television debut with performance of "Loud(y)" on the Late Late Show with James Corden(Columbia Records; New York, NY, July 22, 2016) Rockaway Beach-based band Lewis Del Mar has premiered two brand new tracks today, “Painting (Masterpiece)” and “14 Faces.” Both have been standouts in the duo’s exhilarating recent live sets and are paired as A and B sides of a 7” vinyl offering. “14 Faces,” described by Hypetrak as ‘a breezy, captivating song,’ delivers an emotional coming of age rhetoric set to a driving calypso beat and the heavy tension of a sweltering summer night. Declared by Earmilk as ‘the perfect indication of Lewis Del Mar’s unstoppable musicianship,’ “Painting (Masterpiece)” is the duo's hopeful high point, an up-tempo ode to self-empowerment. Both tracks are available to STREAM and DOWNLOAD now. A limited number of hand-cut lathe vinyl are available for purchase at the band’s WEBSITE.
The experimental indie-pop duo made their TV debut this week with an impressive performance of their single “Loud(y)” on The Late Late Show with James Corden, where Corden himself proclaimed, “I really think this is going to be one of the biggest bands in the world!” Watch the performance HERE. Declared “a clattering, profane, mixed media anthem” by The New York Times, “Loud(y)” reached #1 on Hype Machine, #3 on the Spotify Viral 50 chart, was hailed as one of iTunes/Apple Music’s “Best Alternative Songs of 2015” and made SIRIUSXM Alt Nation's "Songs To Know For 2016" list. Additionally, Lewis Del Mar was named one of NPR’s “Favorite Discoveries And Memorable Moments at SXSW 2016” and was included in All Songs Considered’s “What We Loved at SXSW” list. The duo released their debut EP including lead single “Loud(y)” earlier this year to the praises of Billboard, Noisey, Nylon and more.
