Today (6.27), Heartland-steeped, country artist Logan Mize releases Open Road – a six-track EP out now via Big Yellow Dog Music. Equal parts unflinching heart and nostalgic grit, the new music is a reflection that chronicles the people, places and stories that have driven Mize’s journey and inspire the open roads ahead.

With more than 700 million lifetime streams, two RIAA Gold certifications ("Grew Apart" and "Better Off Gone") and a fiercely loyal fanbase, Mize has carved a career built on authenticity, staying true to his small-town, Heartland roots and writing deeply-relatable songs that speak to everyday life. The EP – produced by Nashville mainstay Randy Montana (Luke Combs, Carly Pearce, Parker McCollum) and featuring songwriting heavyweights Rodney Clawson (George Strait, Jason Aldean), Scooter Carusoe (Kenny Chesney, Brett Eldredge), Tony Lane (Cody Johnson), John Pierce(Morgan Wallen, Zac Brown Band), Kyle Sturrock (Blake Shelton, Chris Young) and more – revisits his Kansas roots through stripped-back ballads and Heartland country-rock anthems.
The project opens with the fearless title track “Open Road” and moves into heart-forward tracks like “I Still Do,” an acoustic ballad capturing the painful lingering of lost love. Standout collaborations include lovestruck anthems like “I Know What You Did Last Summer," which features background vocals from country artist Priscilla Block,and “Matters of the Heart with Cyndi Thomson.” On “Slowin Down,” Mize highlights the fast pace of love and life, embracing his 19-year journey of chasing his dreams through detours, backroads and long nights, and, now, into the future’s wide horizons.
