Tommy’s return home to Louisiana would not be complete without a celebratory homecoming show, and fans can see Tommy perform his timeless music at the historic Cafe Vermilionville in Lafayette on Wednesday, November 9th at 6pm.

Tommy McLain’s I Ran Down Every Dream is his first studio album after four decades, featuring an eclectic and illustrious group of fans and friends supporting him. The 13-song "tour-de-force" (New Orleans Advocate) finds McLain looking back at a remarkable life in music while forging ahead as a true soul survivor. Throughout I Ran Down Every Dream, McLain unleashes a "voice that still sounds strong as ever" (MOJO) while displaying a "wily grace and humor" (New York Times) in a way only a lifetime of experience allows. In recent years alone, McLain outlasted three devastating Louisiana hurricanes, a major heart attack and a house fire on his way to this new album.

I Ran Down Every Dream finds Tommy collaborating with fans and friends from across genres and generations: Elvis Costello, Nick LoweVan Dyke ParksAugie MeyersIvan NevilleMickey Raphael, producer CC Adcock and many more. It marks McLain's first new album since 1979, and continues a storied career that saw him hit the Top 15 of the national Billboard charts with "Sweet Dreams,"tour alongside Otis Redding and Sam Cooke, and change the course of 20th-century popular music forever, by putting South Louisiana "swamp pop" so firmly on the map that acts like The Beatles and Rolling Stones started incorporating it into their sound.
