NASHVILLE, Tenn. — (Aug. 26, 2020) — Mandolin, a new livestream platform designed to meet the specialized needs of the music industry today, has announced an exclusive two-year partnership with the iconic City Winery network of concert venues and metropolitan wineries, bringing live music to fans both in-person and at home.
By improving the livestream concert experience together, these premium brands aim to help venues and artists navigate a new era of concerts, providing safe and sustainable ways to monetize and enjoy live music. These include public and private chat, watch parties, custom emoji reactions, meet & greet experiences and fan upgrades, collecting donations for artists or charity, and more specialized tools and features built for musicians.
Mandolin and City Winery kicked off the series on Saturday, August 22 with a sold-out show by Molly Tuttle at City Winery's intimate Nashville location, entertaining fans and artists with concert-quality audio, full HD video, and an unparalleled fan experience. In the months to come, marquee concerts are slated for several other City Winery locations.
Hybrid in-person / livestream events will take place at City Winery’s exciting brand new outdoor space, Music City Wine Garden, debuting enhanced safety measures, socially-distant table spacing, and face mask requirements. Limited to 100 seats, Music City Wine Garden features an open-air tented stage for live music, dining areas, VIP lounges, and classic old-world decor with vineyard ivy and authentic oak wine barrels. The Music City Winery Garden is the first venue in Nashville since Covid-19 to combine exhilarating, in-person concerts with dynamic livestreaming for fans worldwide.
“After speaking with artists about their needs and exploring relationships with several livestream companies, I’m confident we’ve partnered with the best audio and visual solution out there,” said City Winery Founder & CEO Michael Dorf. “Mandolin and City Winery share a clear vision for recreating not only the excitement of live entertainment, but also fostering the sense of community fans share by pushing the boundaries of traditional live streaming. Now, every fan can have a front row seat.”
“Mandolin is a high-quality livestream platform built to recreate the live concert experience. Our goal, from day one, has been to get artists back to the stage, venues back to sharing and promoting great music, and fans back to the live music they love,” said Mary Kay Huse, Chief Executive and Co-Founder of Mandolin. “City Winery gets this—artists and venues have been through their share of disruption already, but both are resilient. With new technologies, it’s possible to move forward and to bring musicians, fans, and venues even closer together.”
City Winery will continue the livestream-only and hybrid in-person / livestream series with performances by:
Keb’ Mo’ Solo Acoustic (August 29, early and late shows)
Keb’ Mo’ Solo Acoustic (August 30, early and late shows)
Jeffrey Steele (September 11, early and late shows)
Griffin House (September 12)
