Mandolin Orange Release New Video for "Into the Sun," Add Second Night at Ryman Auditorium After First Headlining Show Sells Out

Duo Make Grand Ole Opry Debut Tonight

Since the February release of their acclaimed new album Tides Of A Teardrop (Yep Roc Records) – which topped Billboard's Heatseekers, Folk/Americana, Current Country, and Bluegrass Charts – "Into the Sun" has emerged from the record as an unexpected favorite among Mandolin Orange's 1.5 million monthly Spotify listeners. Today, the band gives the song a new live video: https://youtu.be/2ZTUjS_UwZA

While most of the LP finds singer-songwriter Andrew Marlin grappling with his mother's passing and the family ties that bind, Emily Frantz takes the lead on "Into the Sun," meditating on the loss of her grandfather with serene conviction. Listen to the two of them discuss the track in part of their conversation on NPR's Here & Now, and read their profile in the current issue of American Songwriter.

In a second new video out today, Marlin and Frantz sit down with Amazon Music for an intimate performance of "The Wolves," opening up on the song’s roots in the immigration ban, using the Statue of Liberty as a metaphor, and more: https://youtu.be/wdFf2UAwark

Mandolin Orange have sold out over 40 dates and counting on their current international tour, with the most recent being their first-ever headlining Ryman Auditorium show on September 7th. They've since added a second night for September 6th, on-sale now, and they'll make a pit stop in Nashville tonight for their Grand Ole Opry debut. From there, they head to Europe and return to the US to headline Pickathon, a 7,000-capacity amphitheatre in their native North Carolina, and dozens more performances through the summer and fall – find them all below.
