Introducing Mandolin Parties, a New Set of Livestream Features, Launching This Friday with CAM at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville

 Seed funding fuels development of new features, a first for live music industry;

Leading livestream provider elevates online concert experience to include private parties, ticketing, F&B, and custom merch

OCTOBER 28, 2020 — Following a successful $5 million seed round, Mandolin is accelerating growth again with the launch of its latest set of livestream features, Mandolin Parties. Developed as a fully immersive way for fans and artists to interact with each other online, the Mandolin Parties feature elevates the one-way “watch” experience by providing a more intimate and connected option—all while helping artists to acquire more fans and sell more tickets through fan-to-fan amplification of the show.

Mandolin Parties will allow music fans to…

  • Hang with Friends...Virtually: Fans can book a “private room” within the livestream show, inviting others to join outside the often crowded public chat. Within the experience, fans can watch alongside friends, sharing memories, thoughts on the show, or just catching up over great music.
  • Order Food, Beverages, and Merch: Fans can use Mandolin Parties to plan and orchestrate an in-home party, centered around a specific show. Hosts can send invites, in addition to ordering food, beverages, and custom merch, all for in-home delivery, all from the same platform.
  • Interact with the Artist During the Show: Part of the energy of the live show is the connection between artist and fan during the performance. Coming soon, with Mandolin Parties, artists will be able to view livestream footage of fans, interacting with them during the show. All while fans get coveted “face time” with musicians they love.

“The possibilities of livestream continue to reveal and evolve themselves,” said Mary Kay Huse, Chief Executive and Co-Founder of Mandolin. “We are constantly pushing ourselves to develop a platform where livestreaming isn't just a ‘one dimensional’ experience, but rather an experience that captures the energy and connection of a live performance. The ability to build a ‘party’ around a show is a huge step forward in doing just that.”

“Concerts are better with friends, which is why we created the Mandolin Parties feature,” said Meghann York, Chief Marketing Officer of Mandolin. “We want fans and artists to use this feature to engage at new levels. We want to see fans inviting their friends, hosting events in their homes, and treating friends and family to a totally new music experience.”

Mandolin has a clear vision to enhance engagement and connection in the new digital age. Just recently, Mandolin was named as the exclusive livestream provider for the #iVoted Election Day 2020 festival, the largest single-day digital concert on record, all in support of voter turnout, in addition to signing major partnership deals with the iconic City Winery network of venues and Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium.

Private chat features of Mandolin Parties are now available, with food & beverage and artist viewing capabilities coming in the first half of 2021.
