Marco Benevento Releases New Single & Video "Say It's All The Same"

Today, Marco Benevento releases "Say It's All The Same," the second single and self-made music video off forthcoming album Let It Slide. The LP is out September 20th on Royal Potato Family, and "Say It's All The Same" is another polychromatic display of the way Benevento dissolves unidentifiable sounds into undeniable grooves, Benevento comparing the summertime dance track to a "bouquet of fresh cut flowers."

The song and video feature guest vocals from bass star Karina Rykman, who – along with drummer Dave Butler – joins road warrior Benevento on a cross-country run of dozens of shows behind Let It Slide this fall. 

In addition to today's single, the band announces 10 new West Coast performances, extending the tour to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and more in December. Find full dates below, and tickets here.

From an Adult Swim aquarium to gigs at Carnegie Hall, Lollapalooza, and Bonnaroo, working with Richard Swift, Dan Auerbach, Kevin Morby, and members of the Grateful Dead along the way, Marco Benevento was the one "bridging the gap between indie rock and jam bands way before there were thinkpieces" (BrooklynVegan). The "bubbling musical backdrop" (KCRW) of Let It Slide brings that fusion far beyond those realms, as working with producer Leon Michels marks the first time he's relinquished studio control of his own music. He focused harder on his lyrics and vocals than ever before, while embracing impulses like coating piano strings in gaffers tape to create the LP's muted signature.
