Margo Price Earns Two 2026 GRAMMY® Nominations For Hard Headed Woman
Only Female Artist Nominated In New Category Best Traditional Country Album; Duet With Tyler Childers Honored In Best Country Duo/Group Performance
Congratulations to Margo Price, who has earned two nominations for the 2026 GRAMMY® Awards, and is the sole female artist up for Best Traditional Country Album, a new category making its debut next year. The honor comes for her latest album, Hard Headed Woman, in addition to a nod for Best Country Duo/Group Performance with "Love Me Like You Used To Do" (feat. Tyler Childers). These mark Price's second and third GRAMMY® nominations, following her first for Best New Artist, when she walked the red carpet six months pregnant.
As one of "the year's defining country albums" (Rolling Stone), Hard Headed Woman is an exquisite, timeless collection of songs that reconnects Margo Price with her roots. For nearly a decade, she has created a lane where independent-minded, insurgent country music can exist and thrive alongside the mainstream, and at its core, Hard Headed Woman is about that furious instinct to never waver – especially when our values and future are so clearly on the line.
Reunited with producer Matt Ross-Spang (Midwest Farmer's Daughter, All American Made), and recorded in Nashville's historic RCA Studio A, Hard Headed Woman captures Margo Price at her wisest, funniest, toughest and most vulnerable, as she "rocks the 'outlaw country' label as hard as anyone in the game" (Pitchfork). The album features duets with Tyler Childers and Jesse Welles, contributions from Kris Kristofferson and Rodney Crowell, and a Waylon Jennings song that his widow, Jessi Colter, urged her to sing, as the music traces Price's journey from dive bars to tour buses, through parenthood and marriage, scrutiny and sacrifice in a place that prizes uniformity and the bottom line. It's country music as only Price can make it: free of rules, cherishing tradition, hard headed but with a delicate beating heart.
In recent weeks, Margo Price shared a new video for "Love Me Like You Used To Do" (feat. Tyler Childers) and a scorching cover of Bob Dylan's "Maggie's Farm," gave a prescient performance of "Don't Let The Bastards Get You Down" on Jimmy Kimmel Live! just hours before the show was pulled off the air, and delivered a show-stopping set at Farm Aid, where she serves as the first female artist elected to the Board of Directors.
Price also announced the next leg of her Wild At Heart Tour, bringing the music of Hard Headed Woman to a run of nearly 50 shows that now extends through 2026. Find the full list and tickets at margoprice.net/tour.
