Maria Rodale gets Hall Of Fame Award, Sets First Cookbook

Maria Rodale, organic activist and CEO of Rodale Inc, was inducted this Monday into the Hall of Fame at the 20th Anniversary Books for a Better Life Awards**. The award celebrates personal betterment books, and Maria's got one of those coming too, her first cookbook "Scratch," about simple, fun food (out this fall).

Health expert and Emmy-nominated TV personality Jillian Michaels presented Maria with her award, calling her both an inspiration and a "badass" (see photo).

This eventful week for Maria also encompasses one of her favorite days of the year, Earth Day (today).
