Marta Eliza Miller Foundation Named a Finalist in Health at the 6th Annual Anthem Awards

Youth-led foundation recognized for health education, scoliosis awareness and patient empowerment

STUDIO CITY, CA — October 13, 2026 — The Marta Eliza Miller Foundation (MEMF)has been named a Finalist for “Health Education & Patient Empowerment” in the Industry Specific Program (Non Profit) category within Health at the 6th Annual Anthem Awards. The recognition honors its efforts to increase scoliosis awareness and early detection, support young patients, and fund research and treatment advances.

Anthem winners are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, with judges including Nancy Brown, CEO, American Heart Association; Heather Malenshek, CMO, Land O’Lakes, Inc.; Jesse Tyler Ferguson, award-winning actor and LGBTQ+ advocate; Patrice Duckworth, Chief Inclusion Officer, Johnson & Johnson; Fatima Graves, President & CEO, National Women’s Law Center; and Justina Nixon-Saintil, Vice President & Global Chief Impact Officer, IBM.

“We’re thrilled to see the impact sector bounce back, share their stories, and expand their impact after a challenging year last year,” said Anthem Awards General Manager Patricia McLoughlin. “This year’s Finalists are truly setting the standard for how to advocate for a cause, inspire action, create impact, and overall make this world a better place.”

Marta Eliza Miller and her mother, Corrina Clover Miller, founded MEMF in 2020 after Marta’s spinal curve reached 48 degrees during her competitive ice-dancing career. She continued training and competing while wearing a back brace for up to 20 hours a day. Her experience with the body-image struggles, anxiety and isolation of adolescent scoliosis made emotional support central to the foundation’s work.

“We are incredibly honored to have the Marta Eliza Miller Foundation recognized among so many extraordinary organizations working to make a difference around the world. What began as a deeply personal journey has become a mission to ensure that children facing scoliosis feel informed, supported, and empowered,” shares Marta Eliza Miller and Corrina Clover Miller, Co-Founders, Marta Eliza Miller Foundation. “This recognition is a meaningful reminder that even the smallest voices can create lasting change. We are proud of how far we’ve come, but even more inspired by what lies ahead as we continue raising awareness, advocating for early detection, and helping young people understand that their diagnosis does not define their future. Every child deserves the opportunity to stand tall, be strong, and dream big.”

In under six years, MEMF has helped raise more than $1 million for scoliosis awareness and research, including more than $475,000 donated to the Spine Center at the Jackie and Gene Autry Orthopedic Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). Its$250,000 nationwide grant initiative, launched in 2026, supports research, education, awareness and patient care across all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Recipients include pediatric hospitals, healthcare providers, advocacy organizations and community partners, building on relationships with Boston Children’s Hospital, Duke Children’s, Phoenix Children’s and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.See HERE for a full list of MEMF’s National Scoliosis Awareness Month Grant Recipients.

Marta was also named an ambassador for the Setting Scoliosis Straight Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing the research of the Harms Study Group, an international consortium of pediatric and adult spine surgeons whose work has helped establish standards of care for scoliosis and other spinal deformities. The organization supports research, patient education and community engagement, providing families with trusted, evidence-based resources.

MEMF will serve as a Titanium Sponsor of CHLA’s 125th Anniversary Gala on October 17, 2026, supporting the hospital’s $1.25 billion Anniversary Campaign to expand pediatric research and access to care. Honorary Campaign Chairs include Jamie Lee Curtis, Jimmy Kimmel, Sugar Ray Leonard and Chuck Lorre.

Alongside the Finalist announcement comes the launch of Anthem Community Voice in Partnership with NationBuilder, an annual voting campaign celebrating the work of Anthem Finalists. Supporters can vote for MEMF’s work here from October 13 through October 29 at 11:59 p.m. PT. All Finalists are also in the running for a Gold, Silver or Bronze Anthem Award, selected by Anthem judges. All winners of the 6th Annual Anthem Awards, including Anthem Community Voice winners, will be announced on November 5, 2026.
