(New York, NY): Today, Masego releases a music video for body positivity anthem “Big Girls.” Directed by Maxwell Nalevansky (Anitta and J. Balvin's “Downtown,” JPEGMAFIA’s “Puff Daddy”), the effervescent, neon-lit clip presents an Afrofuturist fantasy, with Masego acting as the leader of a modern big band ensemble. The sleek new video features Masgo's signature TrapHouseJazz band, with special guest upright bassist Alissia Benveniste alongside several plus-sized models in a smoky atmosphere. Masego waxes soulful poetics about girls that “jiggle it.”

"Big Girls" is a genre-bending romp that fuses electric R&B, reggae beats, and modern hip hop with additional vocals from Ivana of sister duo Vanjess. "I was in Nairobi, and there was a group of women that were the life of the party—I’m talkin' Lizzo energy,”says Masego on the song’s inspiration. “I asked someone who they were, and they told me 'that’s the Big Girls Crew.' So I made a song about this party I went to on the great continent and just painted a scene of this cool event, called it the Cake Club, Big Girls get in free."
The song was recently included in the official soundtrack for FIFA 20, the popular EA Games franchise's latest installment, alongside hits by GoldLink, Rosalía, Major Lazer, and more.

Masego's recent NPR Music Tiny Desk session is nearing 2 million views and sees him jamming out on his saxophone and running through a selection of his best, from "Tadow"to "Queen Tings." Bringing out undeniably sensual energy while maintaining a comedic levity in the room, the multi-hyphenate proves himself a worthy disciple of his guiding inspiration, legendary Cotton Club bandleader Cab Calloway.
