Masego's Debut Album 'Lady Lady' Set for Release on September 7th

Releases new song "Old Age" ft. SiR; Currently on the road with Leon Bridges

(New York, NY): 2018 is proving to be Masego's break-out year. Today, the multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter & producer announced his full-length album debut 'Lady Lady' is set for release on September 7th.

To celebrate the culmination of years of hard work, crossing the globe multiple times, and refining his distinctive craft, the "soulful music-making machine" (Ones To Watch) shares "Old Age," a new track featuring frequent collaborator and TDE artist SiR that leans heavily on the formulas of modern R&B.

'Lady Lady' showcases Masego's many sides: funny and flirty, wide-eyed and coming-of-age, mysterious and moody. Throughout the 13-track collection of songs, his genre-defiant sound is on full display as he demonstrates a unique intersection of soul, trap, R&B, jazz, rap, and dance.

It's been years since his first heartbreak, but Masego is still reconciling with the emotions tied to the event. In many ways, 'Lady Lady' is a coming-of-age record that showcases all the sides of Masego's musical personality. At its core, all the songs reflect his experiences with women and how women made him see more of himself.

Released in June, the silky Sounwave-produced "Lady Lady" title track cements the Virginian-Jamaican producer as a swooning lady's man and jazz heartthrob, moving seamlessly between singing, rapping, and soloing on the saxophone.

A singular talent and surprising presence in the musical fabric right now, Masego puts an unabashedly sultry-smooth spin on the music that he and his contemporaries like Chance The Rapper, SZA, Goldlink and Smino are making. Along with a run of amphitheater dates supporting Leon Bridges, Masego will hit the road for a headlining tour this Fall in support of 'Lady Lady.'
