Recorded at home in Tuscany, inspired by timeless love

New York, NY --- June 25, 2025 --- Rising star Matteo Bocelli returns with Falling in Love, his second studio album, set for release on September 12th via Decca Records. Steeped in elegance and raw emotion, Falling in Love marks a new chapter for Matteo. Recorded in his Tuscan home in the heart of Italy, this new body of work blends Matteo’s rich classical roots with modern pop influences, capturing the spirit of timeless romance through a contemporary lens.

The first single “To Get To Love You” was co-written with Grammy-winning songwriter Amy Wadge. The heart-wrenching ballad incorporates a sample from the 1968 film La Leçon Particulière, adding cinematic depth to its timeless emotion.

Recorded in Tuscany, the album offers an irresistible yet languid escapism, evoking the quintessential Italian dream of sun-soaked afternoons, all against the backdrop of stirring soundtracks. Matteo co-wrote all of the album’s original songs, collaborating with acclaimed songwriters including Toby Gad (Beyoncé, John Legend), Martin Terefe (Jason Mraz, James Morrison), Iain Archer (Snow Patrol), and Johan Carlsson (Ariana Grande). The result is a collection of songs that explores love, vulnerability, and connection, all while showcasing his skill as a vocalist, pianist, and musician.

His sound draws from a rich tapestry of influences, including pop superstar Ed Sheeran. Sheeran and Matteo collaborated on Chasing Stars, the solo single that launched Matteo into global recognition in 2023. 

Following the success of his self-titled debut, global tour dates, major national TV appearances and performances on some of the world’s biggest stages including the 96th Academy Awards, the Sydney Opera House, and Madison Square Garden, Matteo steps confidently into the spotlight as the next generation artist, with the heart of a poet and the reach of a global pop star. 

“Being a Bocelli is both a privilege and a responsibility,” Matteo says. “But I’ve always wanted people to hear my voice for what it is—my stories, my perspective, and my version of love.”

Matteo brings a warm, personal approach to his work—often inviting collaborators to his home in Tuscany, where home-cooked meals and conversations flow as naturally as the music. That atmosphere of openness and authenticity runs through Falling in Love, making it a personal and inviting listen.

Matteo’s cross-medium talents have also seen him star in a global Guess fashion campaign, act alongside Idris Elba, and even appear with his family in The Simpsons’ festive special Feliz Navidad.
