Milestones For Black Violin's 'Stereotypes' On Billboard R&B, Classical + New Artist Charts Following Tremendous 1st Week (Universal Music Classics)
Black Violin, the boldly unclassifiable duo that smashes hip-hop together with strings, is celebrating a tremendous first week for 'Stereotypes,' their debut for Universal Music Classics. It includes a number of Billboard chart milestones for the group, an unprecedented representation on the Classical, R&B and New Artist charts that finds Black Violin alongside The Weeknd, Prince and Yo-Yo Ma in addition to their first-ever appearances on the Billboard 200 and Digital charts:
#1 - Classical Crossover
#2 - Classical Overall
#4 - R&B Albums Overall
#4 - New Artist / Heatseeker
On the heels of an NPR Morning Edition segment that ran one day before release, 'Stereotypes' also soared to the Amazon Music Top 5 and #2 on the iTunes R&B chart.
