MONA Announce New Album 'Soldier On' Released via Bright Antenna Records on June 1st

Share New Single "Not Alone" via Dork

(New York, NY) - Today, Nashville's MONA announce the release of their new full-length album 'Soldier On', their first new album following an extended hiatus that will be released via Bright Antenna Records on June 1st.

'Soldier On' is a real statement of intent for the band who have survived through the pendulum of being a "hype band" in 2011, to now, seven years later, beating expectations to create a brilliant record that is both emotionally astute and personal, and has an underlying message of empowerment and positivity. "Solider On ... no matter if it all works out the way you like or it all falls apart, all that's left to do is Soldier On" says the band's frontman Nick Brown. "After doing all things to stand. Simply stand."

MONA also share their anthemic new single "Not Alone" today. "'Not Alone' follows suit with the dualism that I love and MONA often nods to. 'I am not alone' but 'I'm on an island across the sea'... every human can relate to feeling alone while in a group of people," explains Nick Brown.

Listen and share "Not Alone" at Dork, who praise the song as "a frenetic immediate banger with a hook line to die for".

"Not Alone" follows on from MONA's surprise Valentine's Day video release, the love-positive "Kiss Like A Woman," starring Langley Fox and Madison Paige and directed by Jonathan Crocker. The video has received a huge viral reaction with nearly 650,000 views and counting. PAPER, who premiered the video, say "the Nashville-based band offers the indie-rock anthem we've been missing in the 2010s with 'Kiss Like A Woman,' and the accompanying video packs a similarly powerful sex-positive punch" -- watch it HERE.

MONA's "high-energy garage rock" (Rolling Stone), featuring Brown's "beautiful, thrusting snarl" (New York Times), has taken them to many places: the UK Top 40, tour dates with Robert Plant, Arcade Fire, Kings Of Leon and Noel Gallagher, festivals from the UK (Glastonbury + Reading & Leeds) to Australia (Splendour In The Grass) and Japan (Summer Sonic), and TV appearances on The Tonight Show, Conan and Later...with Jools Holland.

Fresh off selling out their 2018 live debut at New York City's Berlin, MONA continue their coast-to-coast takeover, playing LA's Moroccan Lounge on Tuesday, March 27th.
