Morrissey's new release 'Low in High School' makes a top 10 debut on the Billboard Top Current Albums chart this week, marking another milestone in the storied singer's illustrious career. His highest-debuting album to date on the Top Current Albums chart, 'Low in High School' matches Morrissey's highest chart debut on the Top Rock Albums chart as well, landing in the top five.

Release week started with the City of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti officially declaring November 10th as "Morrissey Day", saying, "Los Angeles embraces individuality, compassion, and creativity, and Morrissey expresses those values in a way that moves Angelenos of all ages." A certificate commemorating the event was presented to the artist at the first of two sold-out shows at the legendary Hollywood Bowl that hosted over 35,000 Morrissey fans for the sold out performances, where he was welcomed as "a hero" (LA Times). The sales were his biggest ever in Los Angeles area in a performance that was hailed as "triumphant" (Variety).
