Nashville's Plowboy Records Partners With Largest Independent Distributor In UK, Proper Music

Nashville's Plowboy Records has announced a physical and digital distribution deal with Proper Music in the UK. Plowboy Records, founded by Eddy Arnold’s grandson Shannon Pollard, music historian and author, Don Cusic and punk legend Cheetah Chrome, launched in May 2012 to provide a home for recorded projects that focus on American music regardless of genre. Proper is the largest independent, full service distributor of music in all formats in the UK and will handle Plowboy’s physical distribution globally (excluding North America) and will handle the label’s digital distribution throughout Europe.

Retail partners of Proper in the UK include independent record stores, HMV, Amazon + supermarkets, as well as leading digital platforms iTunes, Amazon MP3, Spotify and hundreds of others. "As a label manager I am thrilled to be working with Plowboy Records. I can’t believe how talented the roster is and the amount of music they have managed to release in the short time they have been a label." - Lynn Lancaster, Proper UK

Since launching, Plowboy has released several titles including Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Bobby Bare's first album in 7 years, an all-star tribute to Eddy Arnold, Cheetah Chrome's first-ever studio EP and more.

Proper highlights Plowboy as a featured label here.
