Newcomer Zoë Nutt Debuts Vibrantly Vulnerable “Happy,” Out Today
Nashville newcomer Zoë Nutt debuted her first new single of 2020 “Happy,” a vibrantly savvy, folk-pop character study about recognizing and cherishing the people and moments that really matter. Juxtaposed against exuberantly punchy horns, Zoë's loose soulful vocals challenge what it really means to be genuinely happy… with confidence and sparkle to spare.
Zoë is no stranger to looking within to find unflinching vulnerability, something that is abundantly clear on her forthcoming album. While much of her record is autobiographical in nature, Zoë delicately balances the torrent emotions of adolescence, nearly completely losing her hearing and more into a ground-breaking example of modern artistic resilience. Due this Summer, the album features Brandy Clark and The Cadillac Three’s Jaren Johnston and Neil Mason.
“Happy” is the first of new music from an utterly captivating collection all about isolation, belonging and growth. Listen, HERE.
