July 13th, 2023 -- At a festive ceremony last night (July 12th), held fittingly as the sun set over Pikes Peak, Notes Live officially broke ground on its state-of-the-art outdoor amphitheater, The Sunset, and unveiled new details of its Roth Seafood & Chophouse and Hospitality Collection campus. In attendance at the groundbreaking ceremony were Notes Live Founder and Chairman JW Roth, Colorado Springs leaders including Council President Randy Helms, former Major John Suthers, Chief of Staff for current Mayor Yemi Mobolade Jamie Fabos, and Mayor Mobolade’s Deputy Chief of Staff Travis Easton; local businesspeople such as Gary Erickson (developer of Polaris Pointe, where the Sunset is being built) and Brent Fedrizzi (Co-President of AEG, Rocky Mountains), and representatives from organizations such as the Economic Development Corporation and Chamber of Commerce.

The Sunset, a technically advanced, 8,000-person open-air amphitheater, will soon be the crown jewel of the rapidly growing Colorado Springs-based music venue and hospitality company. The Sunset will boast over 90 VIP luxury firepit suites (all of which sold out over a year in advance), top of the line audio-visual systems, and self-draining grass berm. It is on target for an expected opening for the summer 2024 touring season.

JW Roth, CEO of Notes Live, said “My family’s been in Colorado since before it was even a state, and I don’t think there’s any better place in the world than Colorado Springs. It is my absolute honor to break ground on The Sunset today, and to contribute to the incredible vibrancy of our community. Let’s rock and roll!”

“This is a fabulous development for Colorado Springs, which has really expanded its arts and culture scene as of late. We are thrilled that residents of the Springs can find great entertainment without leaving our city limits.” said Jamie Fabos, Mayor Mobolade’s Chief of Staff.

Gary Erickson of Polaris Pointe added “The Sunset Amphitheater in Colorado Springs has been the most exciting project that I have done in the past 50 years.”

Also being celebrated last night was the forthcoming Roth Seafood & Chophouse and Hospitality Collection, a luxurious 45,000 sqft. development located adjacent to The Sunset. Announced last month, the $35 million dollar development will feature a stunning two-story restaurant that offers an elevated fine-dining experience, complete with a high-end specialty bar named Brohan's and an open-air rooftop terrace. The grand Hospitality Collection will encompass 30,000 sqft. of the development and is explicitly designed to be a destination for weddings, corporate events, conventions, trade shows, expos, galas, etc. This new addition will complete the company's fully loaded campus in Colorado, which already features Bourbon Brothers Smokehouse & Tavern and Boot Barn Hall, along with the planned Sunset Amphitheater and Notes Bar.

In the last 12 months, Notes Live, Inc. has announced plans for additional music and entertainment complexes in Gainesville, GA; Murfreesboro, TN; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK, and Roanoke, TX. In addition to having two Notes Live venues named to Billboard's "2022 New and Renovated Venues List," JW Roth was named a "VenuesNow 2022 All Star." Notes Live has plans to operate in a dozen markets by 2026.
