Today, NTWRK, North America’s leading livestream shopping platform, announces the first-ever virtual edition of Sneaker Con. Hosted by writer, producer, and comedian Hasan Minhaj and founder of skate lifestyle brand Diamond Supply Co. Nick Diamond, the June 26 & 27 multimedia experience will feature exclusive product drops including some of the most exclusive grails, drops from coveted brands, special giveaways of some of the rarest sneakers of all time, musical performances, and insight-driven panels with the biggest names in sneaker culture.

Launched in 2009, Sneaker Con has hosted over one million worldwide attendees and vendors in more than 25 cities and 14 countries. The ongoing event’s success has dovetailed with the fast-growing sneaker resale market, which made $6 billion in 2019. On its digital platform, NTWRK will offer Sneaker Con greater event accessibility, welcoming an even broader audience in celebration of sneaker culture, a global cultural touchstone.

Sneaker Con is the eighth of NTWRK’s virtual livestream shopping festivals, which recently included a two-day celebration of basketball’s global community, Off Court, and an online edition of the renowned art fair, BEYOND THE STREETS. ABOUT HASAN MINHAJ

Hasan Minhaj was the host and creator of the weekly comedy show Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj that premiered on Netflix in October 2018. The series explored the modern cultural and political landscape with depth and sincerity through his unique comedic voice. The show received a 2019 Peabody Award, a 2019 Primetime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Motion Design,” and was recognized for a 2020 Television Academy Honor. 

In 2017, Minhaj earned rave reviews for his performance hosting the 2017 White House Correspondents' Dinner, and for his one-hour Netflix comedy special Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King, which earned him a 2018 Peabody Award. A first generation American, Minhaj joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart as a correspondent in November 2014, where he was Jon’s last hire. He continued on in that role after Trevor Noah took over as host the following year and remained on the show through August 2018.
