NEW YORK, May 17, 2016: Armed with a Bachelor of Science, endless Texas charm and a "top healthy food blog" (Self), Cassy Joy Garcia will publish her first book 'Fed & Fit: A 28-Day Food & Fitness Plan to Jumpstart Your Life With Over 175 Squeaky-Clean Paleo Recipes', on August 16 (Victory Belt). 'Fed & Fit' features 190 of Cassy's grain-free, dairy-free and artificial-ingredient-free recipes spanning every meal of the day, from frittatas, salads and casseroles to slower cooker favorites.

Cassy, a 30-year-old native San Antonian and nutrition consultant, wanted 'Fed & Fit' to transcend the traditional cookbook and offer readers a roadmap to wellness. She opens the book with a discussion of her "Four Pillars of Health" (Mindset, Sleep/Hydration, Food and Fitness) and goes on to offer readers tips on portion control and meal prep with an actionable 28-day food and fitness plan for getting healthy. Cassy even enlisted New York Times bestselling author and fitness coach Juli Bauer to contribute workouts to the plan.

Cassy first adopted the Paleo lifestyle at the age of 24 when, after years of ineffective dieting, she finally landed on a routine that made her feel healthy, energetic and pain-free. As an added benefit, she shed 10 dress sizes in a year. The results were so substantial that Cassy's friends and family insisted on knowing how she did it, so she began to share her recipes and fitness regime online. From that, 'Fed & Fit' was born.

In addition to the site, Cassy hosts a weekly 30-minute podcast dedicated to wellness. With over 60 recorded shows, Cassy tackles everything from advice on forming new habits and keys to hydration, to five food additives to avoid and interviews with special guests from across the food world.
