Following the release of her story-rich debut album, Silver Rounds (1.17), Olivia Wolf -- who has drawn comparisons to a "female version of early Sturgill Simpson" (Saving Country Music) and a "psychedelic Sheryl Crow" (WZNN) -- introduces the Porch Session Series, delivering an intimate, acoustic collection of three select songs from the recent release.
The first of Wolf's smoke-steeped Porch Session Series, "Weed King," is out today (4.18) in honor of 4/20. The song was inspired by a gratified painting of a weed king with diamond eyes and the ways cannabis can soothe the mind in times of hardship.

"We're lighting things up with these new acoustic tracks," says Wolf. "I'm beyond excited to share the first of the series today with 'Weed King.' Each track was hand-rolled and recorded in the comfort of a rocking chair facing the blue skies of Tennessee."
In step with the Porch Session Series, Wolf hosted a giveaway, with one lucky fan winning a limited edition Silver Rounds vinyl, a turntable with speakers, a custom rocking chair, and 4/20-friendly accessories.
Fans can look forward to hearing re-imagined Porch Session-versions of Wolf's songs "Porch Session: High Life" (out 5.16) and "Porch Session: Good Smoke Too" (out 6.13).
Wolf made an appearance on WSM Radio's Coffee, Country & Cody earlier this week, and is set to head out on a radio tour later this year. In the meantime, visit oliviawolf.com for updates.
