On Air Fest Announces Seth Meyers & Josh Meyers, Norah Jones, The Lemon Twigs, Adam Green, Articles of Interest's Avery Trufelman, Decoder Ring, Season Preview of Audible's Hot White Heist, Live Edition of The Black Effect's WHOREible Decisions & More For 2024's Preeminent Sound, Storytelling & Podcasting Event

Today, On Air Fest announces the next wave of headliners joining 2024's most prominent and creative event for sound, storytelling and the culture of audio. Taking place February 28th-March 1st at Brooklyn's Wythe Hotel, the lineup has expanded to encompass even more of the eclectic vanguard who are shaping both the present and future of podcasting: Seth Meyers and Josh Meyers will come together live on-stage for a special session about their new podcast, Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers, while Norah Jones will sit down with host Carmel Holt for an episode of Sheroes, and multiple generations of NYC's rock scene will coalesce in The Lemon Twigs and Adam Green's live taping of the Talkhouse Podcast. In addition to Serial's Sarah Koenig and Julie Snyder, Laurie Anderson and The Kitchen Sisters, Fresh Air's Tonya Mosley, Malcolm Gladwell, Freakonomics' Stephen Dubner and the many others who have been recently revealed, On Air Fest will now also welcome Articles of Interest's Avery Trufelman, Decoder Ring, a political panel from The Weeds, Vox, Crooked Media and The New York Times' The Run-Up, an exclusive preview of Hot White Heist's second season presented by Audible, hosts Mandii B and WeezyWTF working out their craziest kinks in a live edition of iHeartMedia and Charlamagne Tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network's hit WHOREible Decisions, and more to its three days and five different spaces.

Wednesday, February 28th

The industry-shaping, invite-only Hot Pod Summit returns. Presented in collaboration with Hot Pod and The Verge, and this year's official lead sponsors, AdsWizz and Simplecast, this 2024 edition will see host Ariel Shapiro talk to Ira Glass (Host & Executive Producer, This American Life) about the podcast revolution, future of audio and producing some of the most daring and successful series, as well as Rund Abdelfatah and Ramtin Arablouei (Creators & Co-Hosts of NPR's Throughline) and Yochai Maital (Senior Producer & Co-Founder, Israel Story) about the ways podcasters are uniquely positioned to show the human side of war. The Verge reporter and Hot Pod alum Amrita Khalid will also be joining to moderate a panel, with panel discussions and programming to be revealed soon. 

Thursday, February 29th

On Air Fest's packed schedule of public festivities begins, with this first day and night featuring Main Hall sessions from Serial co-creators Sarah Koenig and Julie Snyder, Laurie Anderson in conversation with radio legends The Kitchen Sisters, Truth Be Toldcreator and Fresh Air co-host Tonya Mosley's exclusive first listen of her new limited series, She Has A Name (produced by TMI Productions & APM Studios), an interactive edition of The Allusionist with host Helen Zaltzman, a panel about politics in podcasting from The Weeds' Jonquilyn Hill, Swati Sharma (Editor-in-Chief, Vox), Astead Herndon (Co-Host, The New York Times' The Run-Up) and Kate Shaw (Co-Host, Crooked Media's Strict Scrutiny), and an exciting early look at the much-anticipated second season of Hot White Heist — the critically acclaimed Audible Original series starring Bowen Yang and an all-star cast — with previews of thrilling, hilarious scenes and a conversation between Rachel Ghiazza (Chief Content Office, Audible), Britta von Schoeler (President, Broadway Video Enterprises), show creator Adam Goldman and sound designer Jeremy S. Bloom. Upstairs in the Podcast Penthouse will be live tapings of Sheroes with host Carmel Holt and 9x GRAMMY-winner Norah Jones, TalkhousePodcast with musicians and hometown heroes The Lemon Twigs and Adam Green, Sing For Science with neuroscientist Bevil Conway and rising superstar musician Sid Sriram, and Weight For It with host Ronald Young Jr. Thursday's programming will be hosted by Avery Trufelman, Creator of Radiotopia's Articles of Interest.

Friday, March 1st

On Air Fest's slate of public offerings continues, with the Main Hall featuring a conversation from Seth Meyers & Josh Meyers about their new podcast, Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers (moderated by Dan Taberski), a wide-ranging interview between 2024 Audio Vanguard Award recipient Malcolm Gladwell and Gretta Cohn (CEO, Pushkin Industries), Freakonomics host Stephen Dubner in a career-spanning conversation with Hot Pod’s Ariel Shapiro, and the very first look at WBUR's Beyond All Repair, a brand new series from Amory Sivertson (WBUR's Endless Thread) and Zac Stuart-Pontier (Crimetown, HBO's The Jinx). The Podcast Penthouse will showcase a journey down a rabbit hole with Decoder Ring and host Willa Paskin, plus live tapings of musical mysteries from Switched on Pop and hosts Charlie Harding and Nate Sloan, reality dating show Hang Up!, long-running Dungeons & Dragons podcast Join The Party and Design Matters with Debbie Millman, plus a special performance from WHOREible Decisions and hosts Mandii B & WeezyWTF down in the iHeartPodcasts Theater, with all of the day's festivities hosted by Vulture Critic, Nick Quah.

February 29th + March 1st

Both days of On Air Fest's public programming will also include a series of group listening experiences with Audio Flux – presented by Bumper, Sounds Profitable and with special thanks to Chris Bannon – happy hours and performances in the iHeartPodcasts Theaterfeaturing The Black Effect's WHOREible Decisions and more, a creator space with ESPN 30 for 30 where producers can pitch podcast ideas and interact with 30 for 30 editors, and the Now On Netflix Lounge, a premium takeover of Bar Blondau with skyline views of the city and all day networking and hospitality. 

Produced by creative agency work x work, and described as both the Sundance of Audio and "the Coachella of podcast festivals" (Fast Company), On Air Fest is continuing its streak of placing media powerhouses alongside emerging voices, visionary thinkers, intrepid musicians and more. Taking something as intangible as an "audio community" and gathering it together in a room, On Air Fest's 2024 edition will further give artists the opportunity to step forward and people the chance to connect, as it pushes the medium of podcasting far beyond the limits of personal listening devices.
